She enrolled herself in Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad, one of the prestigious Art institutions in Bangalore, wherein she learnt the Mysore style of painting that included working with pure 24K gold. Her work received appreciations directly from the Founder of the Institution. This gave her the confidence to move on into the journey of learning new kinds of Art. She excelled into paintings such as Tanjore of TamiNadu, Madhubani of Bihar, Gond of Madhya Pradesh, Kerala Murals and so on. She conducted numerous workshops across Bangalore and exhibited her Art work in many trade fairs and art galleries. During this journey, Fevicryl India recognized her talent and tagged her as an “Expert Teacher” for her excellent work and contribution towards Art and Paintings.
At the same time, she started her own hobby class and has been successful in teaching hundreds of students over the last 20 years. Her students come from various professions such as doctors, homemakers, cancer survivors, college students, people under depression etc. It’s a proud feeling for her when her students start their own classes and the share the knowledge of Art, which they have acquired.
Smt. Malini feels that Art is meditation and it relaxes one’s mind and body. Her advice to the younger generation is to take up a hobby of their choice and continue working on it as it enriches one’s life and gives an opportunity to connect with people. It also increases the creativity and imagination of how you want to shape up your life.
